TTT- 060: Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Lalibela, Axum and Harar
Day 01: Addis Ababa
Arrival in Addis Ababa (Mid Night) and Half Day city tour.
Day 02: Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar
Drive to Bahir Dar en-route visit the Debre Libanos Monastery. Bahir Dar, set at an altitude of 1830 m, is a comfortable base for excursion by land and water to the Blue Nile waterfalls and a number of historic lake-side churches and monasteries. Over night Hotel.
Day 03: Bahir Dar
Morning Visit the Blue Nile fall and afternoon Boot tripe on Lake Tana to visit the Island monasteries. (Kibran Gabriel, Ura Kidanemihret, Azua Mariam, debre Marian …)
Day 04: Bahir Dar to Gonder
Drive to Gonder and afternoon visit the Fassiledes castle and the church of Debrebirhan Sillassie. Gonder with its strategic hilltop location at an altitude of 2200 m in the Southern foothills of the Simien Mountains , is the graceful city of Gondar , site of numerous castle-like palaces, dating back from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The city was founded by Emperor Fasilidas in the 16 th century and remained the capital of Ethiopia for the next two centuries Over night Hotel.
Day 05: Gonder to Axum
Drive the northern Ethiopia ancient city of Axum, regarded as the cradle of Ethiopian culture and Christianity, is the country's oldest extant urban settlement. From around 200 BC to 700 AD. Over night hotel
Day 06: Axum
On the second day of stay at Axum we will be able to visit the mysterious monolithic stelea and the city’s museum. Over night hotel
Day 07: Mekele
Drive to Mekele en-route visiting Yeha and Deber Damo Monastry and Depend on Our time some rock hewn churches. Over night hotel
Day 08: Mekele Lalibela
Drive to Lalibela through dramatic highland scenery. Lalibela, Perched at an altitude of 2630 m, among wild craggy mountains and vast rocky escarpments, Lalibela is a strikingly singular town famed for its 12 th century rock-hewn churches. No matter if you've visited other rock-hewn churches in the rest of the world; nothing will prepare you for these. Over night Hotel.
Day 09: Lalibela
Full day visit of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and over night Hotel.
Day 10: Fly Addis Ababa
Fly Back to Addis and city tour of Addis and shopping in the Africa’s biggest Open air market,
Day 11: Addis to Harar
Early morning after breakfast, we will drive to visit the walled city of Harar.
Day 12: Harar
Harar city is the fourth Islamic important town, walled with five gates. We will have a full day visit of this Historical City.
Day 13: Harar to Addis Ababa
Drive back to Addis Ababa and evening dinner in one of the finnest traditional restaurant with live traditional collection of music and dance. Departure.
